Mission Statement
Our mission is to unite a group of people dedicated to helping children. We seek individuals who could volunteer their time or simply share information in order to help the children in the foster system.
There are countless numbers of children in the United States today who are unable to find safety in their homes among their families. Though all children want love, attention and someone to care for them, thousands of children are neglected; many are abused on a regular basis. The fortunate ones have been removed from these horrific situations but now are dependent on the state to assist them with meeting their individual needs and place them in loving, caring homes.
There are not enough government social workers available to properly service the foster children. There is always a lack of funds for there is very little help from the government and donations to the foster care system are not common. The foster care system relies heavily on volunteers and donations to help service these children, fight for their rights in court, and provide them with better living conditions.
The child’s mental state also needs to be considered. Many of these children come from broken, drug abusing homes. They are sensitive, and often don’t have much confidence in their own self-worth. They need help in overcoming any deprivation or distortion of their emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual growth, which may have resulted from early experiences. They need to be treated with understanding, respect and friendship and need to be encouraged in making lasting relationships with family and friends.
Our goal is to help these children in any way possible. We accept all forms of donation, including: cash, volunteer service, food, clothing, Christmas gifts, Christmas stockings any new or gently used book or any other product that will help to create a better environment for these children. We also seek to promote the knowledge of the current problems in our foster care system.
